On December 21, 2022, the University of Law, Vietnam
National University, Hanoi (VNU) held a scientific dicussion "Forensic
examination in Criminal Justice". The seminar was hosted by the Faculty of
Criminal Justice. The speaker of the Dicussion is Dr. Le Viet Hung – Forensic
Expert, Former Director of the Forensic Center, Institute of Criminal Science,
Ministry of Public Security.
The overview of the 103 Lecture Hall. The discussion attracted a large number of lecturers, researchers, and students.
Dr. Le Viet Hung in his presentation With the topic of "Forensic in Criminal Justice", Dr. Le Viet Hung mentioned the nature and role of forensic examination, general regulations of forensic examination, forms of forensic examination, and the rights and obligations of forensic experts. Accordingly, the forensic examination can be said to be indispensable in the investigation, prosecution, trial, defense, and conviction activities. The conclusions of the forensic examiners are legal evidence to unmask criminals.
Forensic is also a crime prevention tool because it can help experts propagate crime-causing methods, wrong conceptions, and practices that can lead to danger to life and property.
After 3 hours, the seminar took place successfully. In general, the discussion provided an overview of forensic examination in criminal justice, and improved skills in the assessment and use of forensic examination conclusions for the students of the University. |
